buttons

well, i was in need of a little inspiration, so we headed to 'the button store', which is really an antique store that has an old bathtub filled with buttons and a metal scoop that miles loves to play with, as you can imagine.
you have to do a lot of searching, but there are some really great buttons mixed in there. leather ones, wooden ones, as well as just great vintage buttons you can't find anymore. i have to say, about 65 buttons later, i was feeling happier and ready to sew!
still, i am having a hard time finding the time between laundry, dishes, meals, and keeping these little boys happy to do all the hand stitching i will need to do. we are heading out of town in just over a week (!) so i will have some time in the car, but even so, i don't think i am going to escape the late-late-late (early) nights getting ready for this show.

but really, aren't these buttons great? maybe it's just me, but there's something about buttons that just makes me happy!
