fall colors

the other day mr. o took us on a long drive way up payson canyon for a little (tiny) hike.
the boys loved it- can you see finn running way up ahead of miles? so typical of him.

there were so many beautiful colors, until we got really high. this is what it looked like right before we turned a corner....

... and saw this!
have you been to devil's kitchen? it was such a suprise to see these red rock formations in the middle of the mountains.

little leo was along for the ride, although he didn't appreciate the scenery much..

another view of the cool geography.

the boys posing. they wished they could've played in the mountains all day.

can you believe i have three little boys!? i sure love these guys.
and, just in contrast to the picture below, the mountains behind our house have turned orange!
i am ready for fall, if it would act like fall. but cold weather can just stay away, as far as i'm concerned!

Great job of telling a story with pictures! It's a good thing you pointed out Finn running ahead in that first picture, or we'd never have seen him--and great you're getting a fence for the back yard to keep that fun energy and love of exploring within safe bounds. Beautiful pictures of devil's kitchen.

Could Nick get that golden/firey sunset picture of "your mountain" while the great colors are still there?

awesome pictures! I love the one of you and your boys! I had no idea about Devil's Kitchen, pretty crazy place for red rock. Looks like a fun adventure.

Those pictures are beautiful, and how fun are the hidden mountain red rocks! I love that you have your three boys, you are the perfect mom for them, and they are all angels (you really are lucky).
