although i think the pictures kind of say it all, there are a few things i will add!
we spent a good part of the weekend at the bonneville salt flats in wendover, utah.
for how relatively close this is to us, it's funny that we'd never been there before! driven past, yes, but stopped and stayed awhile (or even gotten out of the car?), nope!
so, we took the trailer and met up with my father-in-law, as well as his brother and wife whom we hadn't seen in close to a decade.
somehow once we got there, time seemed to fly by. i don't know where it went! we had fun watching the cars race, playing in the salt, and swimming at our relative's hotel pool.
i especially loved the cars that looked unique to the salt flats.
a couple things i didn't know: the salt is wet, so the cars can't take off fast- they have to build up speed first so they don't slide around everywhere. also, it's a trip to be in a place that looks like a winter wonderland, but it's desert-hot! i kept wanting to take pictures of the salt on our tires and shoes, and of the salt-balls the boys were making, but i realized it would just look exactly like snow!
oh, and finn can tell you it really hurts to rub your eyes if you have salt on your hands!

Eve, that station wagon is the car I've always wanted. I love those station wagons. It reminds me of going to swimming lessons when I was young. I especially loved the ones with rear racing benches or two benches in the back that faced each other on each side of the car. That looks like fun!
That's the exact station wagon I want to buy if and when we need a larger car!
