colorado trip- candy factory

on our last day in colorado, we toured hammonds candy factory.
i remember going on field trips to a candy factory when i was little, so i was excited to take the boys to see a similar place.

they had this sign out front that was completely covered with people's tour stickers! miles was pretty impressed!

and of course i appreciated the vintage delivery van! how could you not?!

here are three sleepy, worn-out-from-all-the-fun boys. finn was the only one who could muster a smile for yet another picture!

they were a tad more enthused at the end of the tour, when they got some free chocolate-dipped candy canes!

the candy shop at the factory was chock full! and i have to say that kids in a candy store isn't exactly the delightful idea it's made out to be! especially when there are three of them, bulk candy bins, brittle/breakable candy in towers, and worn out parents!

everyone still ended up happy, with pink and purple suckers!

we were glad to have our treats while we waited for our delayed flight later that evening!

mr. o and i went with these awesome chocolate bars. i wish i could go back and get a whole case of the dark chocolate with peppermint bars! mmmmmm!

patsy was so great to have so many fun things planned for our trip. we had such a wonderful time.
