one more post about cars

i've been through phases of caring about cars, and not so much.

for a while now, it's been not so much. car shopping can really take it out of you!

there are a lot of nice cars around, and sometimes i get a little rebellious streak that makes me want to drive an old (i'm talking 90's, not "cool" old), ugly car just because it's nondescript and paid off and if you can't play in the nice car club, you might as well admit it and stop pretending.

but now i'm kind of crazy about the new van, and super grateful for all the fortunate circumstances that led to its' purchase.

however, in an alternate world where i could drive a car that would really reflect my taste- all convenience and practicality aside, i would chose this, or one of these or these:

turns out i really do love cars, just not "practical" ones. and i'm not even touching on my stingray cravings. sports cars don't even bear contemplation!

and, i have to say i have been really crushing on station wagons lately. i kind of think they are the coolest cars around.

maybe in ten years when the van is out...
