i have a long-standing love of classic cars.
take this, for example. and, when i look through old photo albums, it's not uncommon to see a snapshot of an old car at a gas station, or a slew of cars from a show.
that's why i feel really lucky to have the jaguar.
i was telling patsy the other day that it makes me feel like i have a piece of me back, that's been forgotten or neglected. it almost makes me feel more alive, more like an individual, more than my ever-present (and beloved) role as wife and mother.
i've wanted to drive it to church every sunday, at the very least. so the boys could grow up and remember riding piled in the backseat of that car every week, and maybe for a drive afterwards. but it's not so great in the snow, and now the transmission is having some problems, so i'm having withdrawls!
hopefully it will be registered & legal soon, and we can get the transmission figured out (hopefully without a big bill!) and then i can drive that baby every chance i get!
driving that car, and being in my craft room are two things that feed my soul.
