have you heard about craft hope for haiti yet?
they have an etsy shop that is raising money to benifit the victims of the terrible earthquake in haiti. one hundred percent of the proceeds go to doctors without borders in haiti. i was so happy to donate a few things, and hope they do some good. this is a great opportunity to get some wonderful handmade things and help out a very worthy cause. get an early start on birthdays, valentine's day, easter, mother's day, baby gifts, you name it.
my mom shared this link about an amazing survivor. this little baby named winnie (rhymes with finny, and is about the same age) stole my heart.
things like this really put life in perspective, and although we are so far removed in both distance and culture, i hope to keep the lessons close as long as possible. lessons like gratitude, priorities, faith, and a sense of kinship and love for our brothers and sisters across the globe.

That video is moving. It is a miracle that that little girl survived something so devestating. I feel very humbled. Thank-you for sharing.
Thanks for the info on that Etsy shop thing, Eve-- I'll go check it out... The whole thing is totally sobering to me, to say the least...
Awesome! I will have to check it out!
