finished!

mr. o worked tirelessly sanding, painting, and repeating so he could have the mantle hung in time for mother's day. i was so excited to see it on the wall!

i wasted no time finding some things to put on the shelf, although they aren't quite permanent. i can't believe how perfectly it turned out! i love it so much.

i think it is so beautiful.
mr. o put so much effort into making me feel loved and appreciated all weekend: the highlights (besides the amazing mantle) were going to the beehive bazaar sans boys, and him taking me out for indian food. we went to bombay house at least once when we were dating/engaged, but never since we've been married. i've gone with the boys or family/friends, but never just us. it's been a semi-tradition for me to get indian take-out on our anniversary and bring it to a barbeque joint so we both got a meal we enjoyed. he ended up eating an appetizer and bread, but was so sweet about it. we had a great time, i hope all the other mothers out there did, too!
