that said, here are the master bedroom befores:
now for the afters:
i painted this lightswitch cover ages ago. it's been in many (if not all) of our homes together. it's a bit dirty, and not that great of work, but i love it for the sentiment.
this is right when you come in the door, there's a little nook and i wanted to hang a birdcage! why not, right?! so i found this cage at an antique store and added some fake birds. ta-da!
this beautiful dresser comes from my grandma's house. i love it so much.
i got these deer at the beehive bazaar, and thought they looked pretty on this hankercheif (also from my grandma).
next to the dresser hangs the frame mr. o made.
the old blue wall is now a forest. this wallpaper is definately one of my favorite improvements to our house. i can't imagine ever growing tired of it.
the bed is finally finished with the pillows i made. we got new bedding from ikea, since we only had duvet covers with prints before, and those just didn't jive with the birch trees.
i don't know what i ever did before ikea.
these two doors are one of the things i was most excited for in our new house: walk in closet and master bath. i tell ya, i've learned to appreciate them!
the painting is by mr. o's grandpa- i just got a new frame for it. it is one of the things i would try to save in a fire, i am so happy to have it.
so, what do you think? sponge paint or wallpaper? (i won't be hurt if you like the befores better!)
next up, bathrooms. hot diggity dog!!

Despise sponge painting, myself. Why is it still in my upstairs bathroom?!!! Eeek! I've seen it all (and LOVE IT!) except the bedding and I totally love that too, Evie! I want to hire you to do my house! Seriously. If I could afford you and if you had the time... :-\
I LOVE how your pillows turned out. It totally completes the room. Infinitely better than that weird sponge painting.
Great job! It looks very soothing and inviting.
You made magic out of that room! Looks awesome! The sponge painted walls remind me of poop whenever I see them. Good call.
i love this! you did a great job.
