so we put up the christmas tree yesterday & between that and the bazaar being behind me, it is really starting to feel like christmas time! the boys love the tree and neither of them can leave it alone. i really need to make a tree skirt!

then this morning, as if on cue, it began to snow! we bundled up and went outside to try and catch some flakes on our tounges and do a little dancing & spinning & singing in the snow. we came inside and had hot chocolate to top off the experience.

and, i am so happy to see my beloved geranium blooming again! it makes me smile whenever i see the bright red blossom against the grey winter sky outside the window. i love this plant so much. if you have seen the rest of my window sill, maybe you know part of the reason. beside it sits a few dead/dying cacti. that's right. i can't even keep a cactus alive. i have them because they are supposed to be fool-proof, but not in my hands. the other (bigger) reason for my love of this geranium is that it was given to me and all the other new mothers in the hospital on mothers day this year by a group of volunteers. it was waiting for me in my room right after i gave birth to my darling finn.

YAY for a pretty tree! YAY for fun outside in the newly falling snow with your cute boys! And YAY for the wonderful story of your beautiful flower-- how nice.....
my tree skirt is just another thing the kids (and kitty) mess up about the tree! I am so glad I have lots of plastic practically indestructible ornaments. Lucy and Mossimo take turns pulling all the bottom ones off, and Sohvi and Max have fun putting them back on! It all works out!
