this is me on my beautiful bike that i got from my grandma. isn't it great!? it is the only women's bicycle i've ever owned. it's so fun to think of my grandma riding it- i know she loved it, too.
lately i've been riding bikes with the boys- finn had been begging me to come and ride with him, and saying we were best buddies because of it! miles always opted for his scooter, until one day, with a little encouragement and his daddy's help, he totally mastered riding his bike, which we had taken the training wheels off of earlier in the season. we were SO proud!
he rode around as much as he could that day, and then asked before bed if he could ride it in the morning, as soon as he woke up. the next morning he got dressed and immediately went outside, and rode around by himself! he said he wanted to ride before breakfast, after breakfast, before lunch, after lunch, and before dinner- and that's exactly what he did!
i'm so proud of him, he got so good at stopping, turning around in driveways, and passing me/his brothers on the sidewalk! that boy is growing right up.

Its a gorgeous bike Eve! And so you! We just took the training wheels off of Sohvi's bike (I know, waaaay old, but we've tried to teach her a lot.. and it was just frustrating). Anyway, one of the wheels fell off, and she realized she didn't need them. I took them off and that was it, she was fine! Next up, Max!
Amen about Gma's bike-- it is so you! I've never seen it before! Seems a bit small for Gma...
YAY, Miley!!!!!! And so cute about you being best friends with Finn! We took Audrey's training wheels off and she did so well but hasn't had much practice since so has lost confidence I think. Dangit.
Congratulations, Miles!
And, I tried that bike out (under Finn's heavy encouragement), and it is too high for me, so it probably worked fine for Mom. Looks shorter than it is . . .
Love that old bike. My mom and dad have my old orange bike too and it's so fun for my kids to ride it now. ENjoy
