kind of big

before my parent's went on their mission, they sweetly gifted me their "old" iMac.
score!!!
this called for something drastic: internet access for the first time!
i have heretofore relied on mr. o's work computer, with it's attending air card internet access, which i could only use when he was home. that kind of ate into our together time, and became a sort of bother. but, it also regulated my time- if he was working long hours, or out of town, i was a lot more productive at home- bonus!
however, we are now completely enjoying being technically self-reliant so to speak! now our iPods can go online, the mr. can watch youtube videos on his huge theater screen, and on and on.
i'm a total mac newbie, so i'm still trying to figure out almost everything (and my dad is gone! he's always been my go-to computer guy.) but i'm loving it so far. how can you not?

also, in other big news, my oldest nephew also got his mission call! he'll be serving in the adriatic north mission and speaking croatian. awesome! i admit i am totally geographically challanged, when i googled croatia i was stunned. it's gorgeous! the beaches and waterfalls are stunning. who knew? i wish i could tag along with my sister to go pick him up in two years.. so exciting!
