we went to saint george, utah this year for the family reunion on mr. o's side.
i have to admit that the desert landscape is stunning. it helped that we stayed in a really gorgeous area, with beautiful landscaping, a fun pool, locations right on a golf course, indian sculptures (which miles loved, of course!), as well as sightings of a snake, lizards, rabbits and toads!
it was great to spend the weekend with family. i love watching the boys bond with their cousins, aunts and uncles. what was really humbling to me was the way my brother & sister in-laws responded when miles and finn both threw up- they were so helpful and sweet. my boys have only thrown up a couple of times in their lives, and i don't handle it all that well (just ask mr. o) so it was really endearing to have their help.
the boys' favorites from these reunions remain the same: playing with cousins, swimming, and the tradition of decorating t-shirts with grandma!
