birthday recap

i have given birth in the springtime twice. i love babies in spring, but next time i think i'll try to space our birthdays a bit. the boys turned three and one just weeks apart.
i made this banner for miles' first birthday, and i hope it lasts forever.
**may 11**
this paper crown was also for miley's first birthday, i made it before the felt crowns started cropping up. i am happy finn could wear it, too. it's funny how much smaller his head is!
i wish i hadn't been so swamped with the bazaar and could've made miles a bigger felt crown for his birthday.
maybe next year.
here is little finn with his presents from us: cute new shoes and a crocheted frog (if you hurry, you can get one here). he loved the frog and gave it kisses, and now sleeps with it occasionally. (he isn't too much of a cuddler and usually throws things out of his crib.)
poor miles had a hard time having finn get new toys and not being able to take them away.

i made finny a banana cake, but he was more interested in playing with it than eating it.

**april 21**
boy, was my little miley's third birthday ever fun! he knew it was coming, and woke up with a smile. he was so cute & happy all day long, it was awesome.
(and yes, he's still in a crib! do you blame me? he's never tried to get out!)
here he is wearing the dungarees i made, playing with his new puzzle peices, and talking to grandma on my phone. he was so cute walking all around talking on the phone & playing.
and here's his sweet new ride..
i really researched tricycles online before deciding on this one. i love the classic looking ones so much, and that's what i wanted to get for him, but so many reviewers were complaining about how easily they tipped, and knowing my sweet bookworm baby i knew he would be traumatised by that, so the low seat and wide wheel base of this one was the clincher.
he got the hang of peddling right away, and loves to ride to the playground or just around the neighborhood.
i sure love my cute boys. i want to be a better mother to them every day.
i cannot believe (though it is such a cliche) how fast they grow.
it just blows my mind.

They are so beautiful and wonderful little boys. I hate feeling like I don't even really know them especially Fin. It's hard to believe Miles is so close in age to Ava because she is such a monster and acts like she's 25. She now tells me to do her hair like Selena Gomez!! Seriously???? We're home in 10 days and I can't wait to reconnect with my cute little nephews!!
Happy Birthday Miles and Fin!
