thrifting & tea

 my friend erin and i planned a saturday sans-kids (except baby fisher) to do our favorite thing: go thrifting!
without our combined five older kids, we were actually able to look & try on clothes for ourselves! we accumulated quite a pile in the dressing room. i love thrifting with erin- we share a room and take turns trying on the best finds, and divvying up the "keepers".

 after shopping (for hours!) we went to the beehive tea room in salt lake city. it was less intimidating than i had feared, and such a fun/funky atmosphere.

 here are the two of us in the wind. i love this girl, even though she makes me look like a ghost!

 and here is our little pal, fisher. he was such a good little sport. can you believe those eyes?!

here is a sampling of my finds. i love the ceramic squirrel so much! i hope it lasts, with these boys of mine. but they love it, too, so i hope they'll be gentle. leo is also getting quite the collection of overalls!

 check out the sweet shirt i got for mr. o! so awesome. it fits him perfectly, too! i love all the outdoors-ey embroidery.

i doubt he'll wear it for anything but a joke, but i think it's cool enough to wear any time! he deserves it for letting me have some girl time, right?
