stripey pants

i was excited to get this book for christmas, and i found directions to make pants using other pants for a pattern. the directions were telling you how to make pants out of an old shirt, using the current hem & the fold of the shirt to make a really simple pair of pants. i just used a remnant of fleece i had, and cut them on the fold of that. i can't believe how easy it was!
i only had enough fabric to make the stripes match up on miles' pants. even the back pocket matched right up! (please ignore my robe sleeves in the picture.. if i am dressed & ready before 10 am it is a miracle around here)
i got all but the back of one leg to match up on finny's. he got two back pockets, though, so he's happy! (it's all about negotiating with those difficult 9 month-olds... right?!)
i've been wanting to make more stuff for the boys, or things to actually keep and not list in the etsy shop or sell at the bazaar. now with this cpsia deal (see below) maybe i won't even be able to sell my stuff!

really cute eve! That book sounds really cool too, I'll have to peruse it next time I'm at your house.

You are so crafty and creative. Is there anyway you can send some 'craftiness' my way? I'm going to look into the book. Sounds like fun
