some kanji on the street on the way home. we wanted to remember some of the little things we saw every day that became landmarks for us.
here is where we stayed- our wonderful families' house! the bamboo you can see was tiny when we got there- it grows like mad! more of that in the next post, though..

here's the lds temple. we went to church right next door- you can see the corner of the church building on the right side of the picture.
saw this while riding around in their little convertible mini. i'm betting she's not really named eve. so, it's fine.
a japanese license plate.
that kanji must be really variable, because i can't believe that they would only have three digits in a city so populated! you know how crowded california's license plates are!
